Machine Learning Summer SchoolsIn 2002 we realized that we ended up teaching many people the same things over and over again and wondered whether there would be an efficient way of disseminating machine learning knowledge to a large number of students and researchers efficiently. This is how the Machine Learning Summer Schools were born. A large number of them have been held in Canberra and Tübingen, born out of the fact that the ANU and the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics were the two founding institutions for this series.
The wonderful folks at Videolectures have videotaped most of the recent events such that people unable to attend the events can benefit from them nonetheless. This is supported by the Pascal Network of Excellence of the European Union.
